Me!

My name is Laura Mengot, but I like to work under the alias 'jokelogic'. I was originally born in Valencia, Spain, but currently live in Cambridge, England. Thanks to a bilingual schooling I am fluent in English and Spanish, and equally as comfortable in either language. I also speak French, but my level in it is nowhere near to my other two languages.

Since 2011 I have studied at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, and am currently on my final year of  the Computer Games and Visual Effects/Computer Games Art course.  My aim is to become a character artist, and have been honing my skills and gaining experience in that particular area. Whilst I am a very confident concept artist and 3D sculptor, I still feel I have much to learn, and cannot wait to see what my professional career will bring me.

When not working on personal or professional projects, I enjoy researching and learning more about biology and anatomy, fashion, and anything that will help me add a spark of realism to my work. I believe that a well-rounded knowledge will help me produce better, more accurate and more believable characters. Other hobbies include sports, literature and games.
